High Energy Efficient 410-A Units
www.goodmanmfg.com
Although R-22 is still available I encourage my customers to invest in the new R-410A units because of the fact that in 2 short years in 2010 they will no longer be able to manufacture equipment using R-22. We have already started seeing a rise in the price of freon and equipment. The new systems are a lot more energy efficient, quieter and with the variable speed model they limit hot and cold spots inside your home and they remove humidity from inside your home much better.
Today's 410-A air conditioners use much less energy to produce the same amount of cooling as air conditioners made in the mid-1980s. Even if your air conditioner is only 10 years old, you may save significantly on your cooling energy costs by replacing it with a newer, more efficient model. It can save homeowners 10% to 40% on their heating and cooling bills every year.
Do your homework
The new systems are great energy savers when installed by a qualified company.According to a survey done in the United States and lower Canada the national average efficiency is only 57% of what new units are capable of putting out. That is a loss of 43% due to poor installation.
